SUMMARY:
- Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities :Participates in all phases of engineering projects, including design, testing, system integration, support, and documentation of electronics/electrical systems for semiconductor test handlers.
- Create assembly drawings, fabrication drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Make modifications to fabricated parts from redlined drawings or verbal instruction.
- Generate ECO (Engineering Change Requests) and BOM's.
- Research for the substitutions for the obsolete parts.
- Participate in design and troubleshooting of electronic boards and/or wiring.
Supervisory Responsibility : May provide limited work leadership and training to lower level technical employees.
Eucation/Training: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: Minimum of four years' experience with a bachelor's degree, or minimum of two years with a master's degree.
Basic Skills/Technical Requirements:
- - Proficiency in basic electronics troubleshooting using an oscilloscope, power supplies, and firmware (IDE running on PC).
- - A minimum of two years of experience with Altium Designer is required, with the ability to perform schematic capture.
- - Strong attention to project and design details.
- - Understanding of the physics behind simple mechanical movement (acceleration, jerk).
- - Good technical writing skills in English.
- - Ability to interpret electronic schematics and datasheets for motor drives, motors, sensors, and electronic components.
Desirable skills (not strictly required):
- Experience in creating detailed cable drawings.
- Experience with Zuken E3 is a plus, but not necessary.
- Some more advanced troubleshooting knowledge/experience.
- An ability to read and understand technical standards.
- Familiarity with embedded hardware (microcontrollers, FPGAs, etc.), and embedded software/firmware
- Experience in designing PCBs.
